Admission to the Programme

Admission to the Ph.D. programme occurs via an annual public selection process. All information regarding requirements, how to apply and deadlines can be found in the call for applications, published annually.

Preparing your application

The admissions process and requirements vary depending on whether you are an Italian citizen, an EU citizen, a non-EU citizen, or residing outside Italy. The qualifications required are: Master’s Degree (DM270/04, DM 509/99), degree obtained from the previous system, or a recognised academic qualification obtained abroad.

The selection process consists in the evaluation of these qualifications and an oral examination.

Study grants

Various positions are available with a study grant. Study grants can be funded by the University, as well as by other research organisations (INAF, INGV, INAF-OACT) or other finance programmes.
