Expected Learning Outcomes

The main objective of the course is to provide the student with in-depth knowledge of the dynamics of the marine ecosystem and its management of the marine environment in the different types, from port areas to protected areas and biodiversity, from alien species to those at risk, focusing attention on the most advanced management methodologies of the resources of these environments

Detailed Course Content

Dynamics of natural marine environments. Priority habitats. Alterations and pollution: spillage of toxic substances, eutrophication; sedimentary alteration; withdrawal of fishery resources; marine litter and emerging pollutants; climate changes; alien species. Fishery biology; Environmental monitoring: Posidonia, Carlit; coralligenous; Coastal strip management: integrated management, MPA, marine strategy, environmental accounting.
