My main research activity is aimed to understand the physiological and the pathological roles/functions of mitochondria and porins, also known as Voltage-Dependent Anion Channel (VDAC), in neurodegenerative models such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
