The course aims to provide knowledge on the basic principles of pharmacology and toxicology, with a
specific focus on food-drug interactions, toxicology of drugs and foods. The course includes an introduction related to research and development of drugs, nutraceuticals, functional or enriched foods, and medical devices.

General pharmacology program with an overview of pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, regulatory aspects, and toxicology. Discussion of drug classes closely related to metabolism, nutrition, and associated conditions.
