Learning Objectives

  • environmental geology and geological regulation

    The course has the declared objective of providing adequate knowledge and understanding in relation to the following topics:

    • risk mitigation and reclamation interventions in landslide areas both on land and in rock;
    • main methods of monitoring in landslide areas;
    • Hydrogeological and regulatory framework;
    • Consolidated Act on the Environment 152/2008 on the protection and assessment of groundwater resources and on the remediation of polluted sites;
    • make a geological relationship

    Review of hydrogeology. Main hydrodynamic parameters for the quantitative assessment of groundwater resources.
    Qualitative evaluation: hydrochemistry of groundwater, main plot graphs, hydrochemical facies.

    Part III: Risk analysis of contaminated sites, environmental monitoring and remediation methods

    Risk analysis of contaminated sites. Sites of national interest (SIN). Characterization plan. Investigations for the characterization of the site. The development of contamination. Propagation mechanisms.
    Sampling and investigation for the determination of CSR. Role of Control Bodies.
