Expected Learning Outcomes

The course has the specific aim of providing adequate skills on types of geothermal resources, with particular attention to low-enthalpy resources, and on technological methods for their employment.

  • Types of geothermal systems
  • Geothermal power plants
  • Ground as Heat Storage Reservoir
  • Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP)
  • Types of low-enthaply geothermal systems with GSHP technology
  • Environmental impact, regulation and geohazards associated to low-enthaply geothermal systems
