IG-MAPPER

The IG Mapper is used to obtain lithological maps derived from geochemical data of intrusive magmatic rock samples. These samples, randomly located within a homogeneous sampling area, are analyzed on a geochemical basis, after being properly localized. The obtained data is subsequently employed to build distribution maps, applying complex interpolation algorithms such as kriging or Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW), through the help of IG Mapper and ArcGIS^®
