Location
The conference will be based in Agrigento, Sicily – but with transport provided from and back to the city of Catania. Conference participants will meet for registration and an ice-breaker reception at Botanic Garden of the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences of the University of Catania on June 29, 2022 at 18:00.
The host venue for the conference is the Colleverde Park Hotel in Agrigento https://www.colleverdehotel.it/en/. It provides excellent conference facilities and plenty of space for informal discussions together with panoramic views over the UNESCO world heritage site containing the ancient Greek city of Akragas and Valley of the Temples.
Conference participants will meet for registration and an ice-breaker reception in the city of Catania (with international air connections, ferries and rail links). We’ll all travel together from Catania to and from Agrigento.
YORSGET Travel Grant NEW!
The organising committee is happy to offer travel grants to support young researchers participating at Yorsget 2022. The financial support is not intended to cover overall expenses, but it’d rather aim at helping to face travel costs.
Application submissions are now officially open for any participants who is presenting, as a first or co-author, an abstract (poster or oral) at Yorsget 2022.

- the application form (on the right side of the webpage);
- CV (max 2 pages);
- Proof of your academic status (PhD, Post-Doc, etc..).
Please, fill in the application form in its entirety, using a maximum of 500 words in the “motivation” paragraph.
Beneficiaries of the travel grant will be notified in good time by email. Payments will be made after the conference.
