Degree in Biological Sciences in 1988 with 110/110 cum laude. Since 1994 PhD in Evolutionary Biology. Since 2008 Permanent researcher, unconfirmed. Since 2011 confirmed researcher at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences of the University of Catania. From 2006 to today: Aggregate Professor of “Environmental Nematology "(SSD Bio / 05) in the Degree Course in Biological Sciences and in the specialist / master's degree Course in Biodiversity and Quality of the Environment. Since 2010: Aggregate Professor of “Animal Bioindicators” (SSD Bio / 05), in the Master's Degree Course in Biodiversity and  Environmental Quality.
