1987 – 1988 : Research contract at the Calabria-Cosenza University.
1988 – 1992 : PhD in Tectonics and Structural Geology at the Camerino University.
1992 : C.N.R. grant in “Stratigraphic Geology” at the Catania University.
1992 : Researcher of Geology at the Catania University.
1995 : Visiting researcher at the “Laboratoire de Tectonique de l’Institut de Physique du Globe” of the P.M. Curie University of Paris.
1996 – 1997 : C.N.R. N.A.T.O. Senior grants at the “Laboratoire de Tectonique de l’Institut de Physique du Globe” of the P.M. Curie University of Paris.
1998 : Associate Professor of Structural Geology at the Catania University.
2002 : Full Professor of Structural Geology at the Catania University.
